    Remote and Rural local pub is a perfect location

    Myndtown Combined Parish Council contacted the HAJMT as they needed a replacement AED for outside The Bridges in Ratlinghope.

    Ratlinghope is a scattered rural parish nestled between the remote hills of the  Stiperstones and the Long Mynd. It’s a place that is hugely popular with both walkers and cyclists so we were delighted to help. It would be difficult for the Emergency Services to get there quickly so an AED that can be located easily is a vital lifeline.

    The parish council also made a generous donation of £350 to the HAJMT.

    Another donation of an HAJMT AED. This time in Staffordshire in the Parish of Adbaston.

    It was decided to put the defibrillator at the entrance of Swinnerton Transport as it’s easy to find in a rural setting.

    Bishops Offley Methodist Church held a fundraising harvest supper and donated half the proceeds to the HAJMT.

    A fantastic initiative and community effort all round.

    Our Defribrillators aren’t located only in the West Midlands. The wonderful Williams family have supported the charity and placed 4 AED’s @burncoose_nurseries and @burncoose_estate in Cornwall.

    A fantastic initiative and the HAJMT was thrilled to have their support.

    High on a Hill ….. Long Mynd, Shropshire at Church Stretton Golf Club

    We now have an AED high up on the Long Mynd, Shropshire at Church Stretton Golf Club in a hut that is used as a refuge from the elements.

    It was no mean feat installing the AED we donated and is down to the sterling efforts of Adrian Hilton. He was determined to make it happen. Due to the remote nature of the site the cabinet is powered by a combination of wind and solar power.

    Wistow Rural Centre, Leicestershire

    This is a special donation to Wistow Rural Centre in Leicestershire in memory of Mark Carr.

    Mark, who was a huge personality like Henry, sadly passed away of a heart attack far too young. Funds were raised for an AED in his name from a charity golf tournament, The Bowden Cup, as Mark loved the game.

    It’s taken us some time with Annabel, Mark’s wife, to decide where we should donate an AED and she came up with the Wistow Rural Centre, as it is so close to where Mark grew up.

    It seemed the ideal location as it turned out that Richard Brooks who runs the centre also knew Henry.

    And it was a team effort as the Joe Humphries Memorial Trust provided the training.

    It just goes to show what can be done when we all work together.

    Our latest donation is at The Barn at Dinthill, Boraston, Worcestershire.

    This a small and unique events venue near Tenbury Wells run by the Roberts family. The whole family is involved and it is all hands on deck. As a family they are pillars of the rural community and are constantly giving back despite set backs in their own lives.

    Moira Roberts is seen by our AED and they are worthy recipients.
