    [vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Chancerygate has announced an industry first partnership with the Henry Angell-James Memorial Trust (HAJMT) which will see the company install defibrillators at all its under construction and future developments. Chancerygate is the first industrial developer and asset manager in the UK to commit to installing automated external defibrillators (AEDs) at its developments in conjunction with HAJMT.

    A Hidden Hamlet in the Shropshire Hills Delighted To Receive A HAJMT AED, Shropshire

    The beautiful hamlet of Bouldon lies partially within the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is located on the eastern boundary of the relatively flat Corvedale, where the valley meets the upland Clee Hills.

    The application for a HAJMT AED came from Steve Bartell (seen here on the RHS) with Dave Hedgley,  Bouldon parish councillor. Their application recognised the objectives that the HAJMT is about and were able to present ideal credentials for us to donate an AED to their community.  They are community spirited with a sprinkling of humour and the beautiful hamlet desperately needed an AED.  Bouldon really is hidden gem, but its location is difficult for the emergency services to get to quickly.  The HAJMT Trustees were delighted to be able to donate an HAJMT AED to the village.

    Nash is a rural community located in Shropshire, England, situated south east of Ludlow and north of Tenbury Wells.

    The Trustees were delighted to donate a HAJMT AED to Nash Parish council and here is a photo of Pete Stubbs, Chairman of Nash Parish council, who made the successful application.

    LIFE SAVING DEFIBRILLATORS TO BE INSTALLED ACROSS MLI PORTFOLIO

    Barwood Capital and Caisson Investment Management have partnered with Henry Angell James Memorial Trust (the “Trust”) to install eight Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) across it multi-let industrial portfolio in areas such as Birmingham, Nottingham and Thatcham.

    The AEDs have been an investment of £12,000 and are to be installed in convenient locations at the estates or nearby to ensure they are easily accessible to not only the people who work there but also the local residents. The defibrillators will be registered with The Circuit, the national defibrillator network backed by the NHS and the British Heart Foundation so that as soon as anyone has a cardiac arrest and 999 is called the closest AED can be identified.

    Barwood Capital and Caisson were introduced to the Trust at the 2020 Industrial Agents Society Awards and immediately saw the important work it was doing. They were more than happy to help such a great cause and their multi-let estates were seen as the perfect urban locations.

    “Hearing Sally talk so passionately about the importance of the AED provision in the local community immediately struck a chord. I knew it was a good fit for what we are trying to achieve in the communities in which we are invested as part of our sustainability framework.  It just seemed like the right thing to do,” said Danielle Sheppard, senior investment director at Barwood Capital.

    Mark Bowden, property partner at Caisson added: “When you consider that administering a defibrillator on a patient combined with CPR in the first 3-5 minutes increases their chances of living up to 75 per cent, we see this as a vital part of our health and safety practice towards tenants and their customers, helping to create a safer business environment.”

    Sally Angell-James with West Midlands Amubulance Service’s Cliff Medlicott and Rev Yejide Peters of St Alkmunds Church launching the charity in Shrewsbury today.

    This is the first AED in the West Midlands that the Trust has donated and we are very excited about installing one in the town centre.

    On Thursday March 28th, Sally attended the Excellence in the Community Awards, on behalf of the Henry Angell-James Memorial Trust, hosted by the High Sheriff of Shropshire.

    The HAJMT was presented with an award

    to reflect the outstanding commitment and enthusiasm shown to the task of installing as many AEDs in local communities throughout Shropshire and the West Midlands.
